Gartner names Microsoft Azure a leader in aPaaS

Gartner recognizes Microsoft Azure as a leader in their Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Application Platform as a Service for the third year in a row based on completeness of vision and ability to execute.

In a few weeks, we'll be launching our cloud-based prescriptive planning and performance management platform, and — you guessed it — it's built on Azure.

Seeing Azure featured as a leader in Gartner's Magic Quadrant is validation that our team is leveraging the best technology resources available in order to build what we hope will be one of the most innovative products to hit the Business Planning and Analytics space in years

It's worth noting that this is just one of six Gartner MQs in which Microsoft products have appeared. The other five are as follows: Enterprise Application Platform as a Service, Operational Database Management Systems, Data Warehouse and Data Management Solutions for Analytics, Cloud Infrastructure as a Service, Cloud Storage Services and Server Virtualization.
