Our Board of Directors

Kevin Howe has been active in the technology industry since 1983 as a founder of two firms, and an investor and board member of dozens more. Today, he is founder and Managing Partner of Mercury Ventures, a technology investment fund with over $200 million of invested capital in numerous public and private firms. Kevin served on the Board of Directors of the Sage Group (SGE) for 15 years (1991-2005) and of Digital Generation (DGIT) for 10 years (2000-2011).

Kevin also serves on the Cox Executive Board at Southern Methodist University, and is a 25-year member of YPO & WPO. He received his MBA from Southern Methodist University and a BS from Northwestern State.

Mr. Page has extensive experience with tier-one strategy and consulting firms around the world. For 23 years, Mr. Page served as Chairman and CEO of Page-Wheatcroft, a senior-level executive search firm. Mr. Page identified CEOs, built Leadership Teams and developed growth and talent acquisition strategies for Global 1000, professional services and private equity firms.

Mr. Page has considerable Technology and Financial Services industry experience, with leadership positions in British Telecom, Univac FSD, RepublicBank of Texas and Central Bank of California. He obtained degrees in Mathematics and Telecommunications from London University as part of British Telecoms Executive Management Program, and graduated from Harvard’s inaugural Leadership in Professional Services Firms program.

Mr. Goodwin began his career as a financial auditor and consultant with PriceWaterhouse, before joining Sage US, one of his PriceWaterhouse clients, as Controller. He became Chief Financial Officer the following year. During his nearly seven years with Sage, Mr. Goodwin was involved with the financial and legal aspects of U.S.-based acquisitions, as well as overseeing the operations of the customer support, MIS and administrative departments. Mr. Goodwin also serves as CFO for Mercury Ventures.

Bill is Senior Vice President of Core Business Services at GlaxoSmithKline. CBS is an integrated, shared service with global responsibility for Information Technology, Accounting Services, Employee Services, Procurement, Real Estate Management and Facilities Management. CBS was designed and launched under Bill’s leadership in 2011. Bill joined the GSK Corporate Executive Team in 2007 as Chief Information Officer. He remained as CIO until 2012, when he delegated that responsibility to one of his direct reports.

Bill has built on his background in statistics and computing to become a thought leader in analytics and ‘big data.’ Bill serves as a technology advisor to Data Direct Networks, a company that provides storage components for high-performance computing. Previously, he advised Netezza, a company recently acquired by IBM that provides analytics appliances.

Bill joined the pharmaceutical industry with Merrell Dow in 1986 as Director of Statistics, and was promoted to positions of increasing responsibility over an 8-year period. Bill joined Glaxo Inc. (USA) in 1994 as Vice President of Clinical Statistics and Data Management, and was promoted to worldwide responsibility for Statistics and Data Management for GlaxoWellcome in 1995. He transitioned into Information Technology in 1998 as Vice President of R&D IT. Bill led the IT group that supported the US Commercial business from 2001 to 2005.

Bill has a B.S. in biology from the College of William and Mary, and a Ph.D. in Statistics from the University of Florida. In his early career, he was a Member of Technical Staff at Bell Laboratories and then Associate Professor of Biostatistics at University of Alabama at Birmingham. Most of his academic papers were published while at those research organizations. His primary areas of research were statistical inference, epidemiologic methods and immunogenetics.

Bets' distinguished corporate career includes domestic and international leadership roles spanning technology, operations, M&A and finance at IBM, AT&T, Abbott Laboratories and AbbVie. An NACD certified corporate director and member of the organization’s climate cohort, Bets is a sought-after speaker on the topics of sustainability, ESG and supply chain at the board level. Bets advises technology companies across cybersecurity, flexible circuits and telecommunications businesses. In the fall of 2021, Bets Lillo joined the top-rated business school at Texas Christian University as an Executive in Residence, teaching courses in supply chain and global business Bets’ community engagement includes board director service with the World Affairs Council of Dallas Fort Worth and the Dallas Chapter of the International Women’s Forum. Bets served as the National Board Director Committee Chair for the Private Directors Association and a member of its Technology Governance Committee during the organization’s meteoric growth from four to 19 chapters and has been a member of Purdue University’s Biomedical Engineering Advisory Board for over a decade.

Doug Rippeto is the founder and President of The Compass Group, a real estate investment company in Dallas, Texas. Early in 2000, Doug became the lead investor with Juniper Investment Group, a Houston company. Doug served on the Board of Directors and Development Committee of the Vail Valley Foundation for 13 years (2004-2017). He currently is a Life Trustee. Doug also served for 12 years as Chairman of the Board for the Vail Valley Foundation’s Vilar Performing Arts Center in Beaver Creek. He served as Vice Chairman of Finance for the Boys and Girls Club of Hilton Head, raising $6 million for the construction of the new club. Doug is a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization and is now a member of the Dallas chapter of World Pres Org. He has three grown children and six grandchildren.
